The WhereverTV receiver, which works with any standard TV and requires no computer, can play hundreds of international television channels, millions of Internet videos, and even video and audio files stored on your home network.

Pittsburgh-based WhereverTV was named one of the Top 30 New Innovators at CES, the world's largest consumer electronics show, in Las Vegas last January.
WhereverTV's technology brings thousands of national and international television channels and millions of internet videos directly to consumers' TV sets. And because WhereverTV does not actually rebroadcast anything, the original content owners benefit by retaining full control over their digital assets.
Ben Franklin Technology Partners (BFTP) has invested $200,000 in the company over the past year. "To rise above 2,700 other companies exhibiting at the industry's leading trade show is a phenomenal accomplishment," says Jim Jen, the BFTP executive-in-residence advising WhereverTV.
Users connect a five-ounce receiver, which costs $199 and is available through the company's website, www.wherever.tv, to their television and broadband Internet connection. It pulls the live streaming content directly from the content owners' servers to play on users' TVs.
