Philipsburg Company Patents New Centrifuge Technology
The Drucker Company of Philipsburg manufactures centrifuges for use in a variety of laboratory applications including industrial and medical research. In the medical lab, the separation of solids from liquids, required in various testing procedures, is achieved using the centrifuge's high-speed rotation. Drucker centrifuges are designed without moving parts, eliminating the likelihood of repairs and reducing the overall cost significantly.

The new, patented horizontal rotor design decreases processing time by as much as 33 percent and has impacted sales significantly. These product enhancements allow a relatively small company like Drucker to go head to head with its well known, but higher-priced international competitors. With national distributors such as Fisher Scientific and Cardinal Health Care on board, The Drucker Company has experienced consistent growth over the last five years and now employs 33 full-time employees.
